Other than needing root canals and the discomfort that is generally expected, it was an overall excellent experience. I felt seen, communicated with, and felt their concern for my safety and satisfaction. Everyone on staff made me feel valued and welcome. That’s quite an accomplishment and they should feel proud of this work environment.

Just wanted to explain why I was initially uncomfortable with the protective rubber dam. I felt like I could not get enough air and asked it to be removed. They gave me a few minutes and I was able to continue. The day after the procedure I was wearing a mask to protect from COVID-19 and as I often do, I found it hard to breathe and so routinely lift the mask so I can get more air. The same anxiety I feel with masks when I need more caused me to react when the rubber dam made breathing more difficult. Now that I know why I understand why I reacted. The doctor and assistant were very understanding at the time, and I wanted them to know that my reaction stemmed from the masks. I will certainly be glad when we no longer have to wear them and glad that I know why.
